The development of AI enabled asset management tools began well before the current Covid-19 pandemic started, and the use of such tools will persist long after the pandemic has run its course. Supply Chain Disruptions

The lead time for many components such as transformers and large bearings has increased due to the pandemic. Accurate and timely predictions of future component failures allow operators to place component orders well in advance of component failure, limiting the down time and lost production that can occur while awaiting for replacement components.
